Who was Mary Magdalene in the Bible?
Mary Magdalene in the Bible was a disciple of Jesus. She became a disciple after Jesus cleansed her of seven demons. She is famous for being the first person to see the resurrected Christ.
She was one of the women who accompanied and aided Jesus in Galilee, and the four Gospel books attest that she witnessed Jesus crucifixion and burial.
Having seen where Jesus was buried, she went with two other women on Easter morning to the tomb to anoint the corpse, when she found the tomb empty.
Christ then appeared to Mary Magdalene and instructed her to tell the Apostles that he was ascending to God.
